Maritime Hospitality Management
The Maritime Hospitality Management suite of NOS covers the following activities:
- recruitment and development of staff for maritime hospitality roles
- managing and working with staff. colleagues and stakeholders
- providing a healthy, safe and secure working environment for passengers
- managing operations to enable effective maritime hospitality services
- managing and improving a customer-focused, financially viable service.
There are 28 NOS in the suite, nine are maritime specific, eleven are from the Management Standards Centre, three from Skills for Logistics, two from Port Skills and Safety, two from the Institute of Customer Services and one from Marketing and Sales. This shows the breadth and nature of the skills of those working in hospitality roles on board passenger vessels at management levels.
