This information forum provides a useful place for us to provide information about a range of our activities. The twice yearly MNTB Newsletter is available to view as an online turning page version and printed copies are available if required.

Engineering Workshop Skills Review – for those involved in delivering officer trainee engineering programmes and companies wishing to provide input into the review process and activities.

We post details of forthcoming meetings, with agendas, papers and attendance confirmation here and we also use these pages to collect information about specific topics and items of interest.  This would include our annual trainee statistics survey and other surveys that we do from time to time, often connected with our project work.

There are a number of queries that we are often asked regarding joining the Merchant Navy, where to purchase uniforms and tracing Merchant Navy ancestors etc.  The frequently asked questions pages will be useful to find the answers to your questions.

The Chamber of Shipping’s annual safety competition and prize-giving ceremony is managed by the MNTB, you can find out more about the competition here.

It is important that we are able to listen to what industry as a whole is saying about education, training and skills matters, and we will use this forum as a means for everyone involved in seafarer education and training to engage with us and provide input and feedback on relevant issues and aspects.
