Ambassadors
If you are working or have worked in the shipping industry and would like to inspire a new generation of seafarers and put something back into the industry then volunteering as a Careers at Sea Ambassador could be the perfect opportunity.
Careers at Sea Ambassadors will have access to our quality presentation and supporting resources to be used with groups of people to inform and inspire them about the education, training and career opportunities available in the Merchant Navy.
Access to the presentation and some supporting materials is available from Presentation Resources.
Once you register to become a Careers at Sea Ambassador you will be able to request promotional resources to assist you with your presentation - such as brochures, pens, badges and an interactive CD Rom. You will also have access to a training workshop to familiarise yourself with the presentation and resources and to gain an insight into how best to use them, along with information on current officer trainee education and training courses.
Training workshops will run 2 or 3 times throughout the year at the Chamber of Shipping, London. For more information contact Kirsch Edwards (details below).
As a Careers at Sea Ambassador you are making a commitment to raising the awareness of the industry and we would expect that delivering 2 to 3 sessions per year or more would be reasonable.
If you would like to find out more information about the current education and training programmes for Trainee Officers please go to www.careersatsea.org.
